Harry Specters was founded by Mona Shah and inspired by her autistic son, Ash. The idea began in 2011, when Mona was searching for a future where autistic people were valued, supported, and visible in the workplace. Chocolate became the way to make that change happen.

Based in Cambridgeshire, Harry Specters is an artisan chocolatier where autistic people are involved across the business, from making and packaging chocolates to administration, design, and photography. Every product is created with the belief that great chocolate and social impact should sit side by side.

The brand describes itself as “chocolate, not charity”. Harry Specters operates as a commercial chocolatier, producing high-quality, luxury chocolates while actively creating employment opportunities and challenging misconceptions around autism. To date, the business has generated significant social value by supporting autistic people to gain skills, confidence, and independence through meaningful work.
